Roger has a degree in chemical engineering from Cork Institute of Technology and a masters degree in fire and explosion engineering from the University of Leeds. He has 36 years’ experience, 32 working on process safety / major hazards. 

Roger has chaired over 2,100 HAZOP meetings and presented over 135 training courses on the subject. He has produced numerous Seveso (COMAH) reports for clients in a number of industries. 

Roger is a chartered chemical engineer, a registered safety professional with the IChemE, a registered Professional Process Safety Engineer with the IChemE and also sits on the IChemE’s Loss Prevention Panel. 

From 1998 to 2022 Roger was the senior consultant with responsibility for the process safety / Major Hazards side of the business at Cantwell Keogh & Associates. Prior to joining Cantwell Keogh, he previously worked in the pharmaceutical industry in Ireland in process safety and process engineering roles, and also worked in the water industry in the U.K.
